3  lbs. Brussels sprouts

1/2 c. butter or olive oil

juice from 3 limes

salt and ground pepper to taste

Cut the sprouts in half and lay flat on a chopping board . Cut each half into julienned strips . Heat a large skillet over medium high heat . Melt the butter and than add the sprouts and saute until tender , about 6 to 10 monutes . Season with the lime juice , salt and pepper . Yield 8-10 servings.

1 stick butter , softened

3 T. powdered sugar

1/2 c. pecans , finely chopped

1 tsp . vanilla

1 c. flour , sifted

powdered sugar , for rolling

Knead all ingredients together . Form into small ball , than roll into short stick and place in crescent shape on ungreased cookie sheet . Bake at 350 degrees for 18 minutes . Rill in powdered sugar after removing from oven .
