Thandai
This Drink Is Specially Used In Summers
Ingredient Requirements for This Recipe: (For Two Persons):-
a) Saffron (Kesar) few strands
b) Milk 1/2 litre
c) 1-2 Cloves
d) 2 Choti Ilayichi (Green Cardamom)
e) 10 Kishmish (Raisins)
f) 20 Almonds
g) 2 Tablespoons Karbooja Seeds ( Rock Melon Seeds)
h) 1 tablespoons Saunf ( Fennel Seeds)
i) Green Pistachio – 20
j) 4 Tablespoons Sugar – (Or use as per need)
Instructions:-
1. Take a sauce pan add Fennel seeds, Cardamom and Cloves and boil the water.
2. Leave this water aside for about 20 minutes
3. Once the water has cooled down then add raisins, almonds, pistachios and melon seeds in it.
4. Leave this water for about 1 hour.
5. Now using the blender blend this mixture thoroughly.
6. Using a fine strainer, sieve all the liquid out in a cup.
7. Now dissolve the Kesar( Saffron ) in 2 tablespoons of warm milk.
8. Now take a jug full of cold milk.
9. Add the liquid which you made in step 7.
10. Add the dissolved Kesar ( Saffron) which you made in step 8 .
11. Add the required amount of sugar.
12. Serve chilled with some crushed ice.
