Jeera Aloo
3 tsp. vegetable oil
1 dried red chili
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 tsp. plain yogurt
4 medium potatoes peeled and sliced
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
Heat the oil in a frying pan , add the whole dried chili , and cook for 2 minutes . add the cumin and mustard seeds. When they start to sputter add the potatoes , yoguet , salt , red pepper ,and turmeric . Give it a good stir . Cover and cook over low heat until the potatoes are tender.
