Crunchy Okra or Lady Finger

Ladies finger we do cook at least one a month and when we make it little Crunchy and spicy, I am the Big chef in the house that day.

Ingredients:

  • Bhindi ( Lady Finger ) 250 grams
  • Mango Powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chaat Masala 1/2 tea spoon
  • Red Chilli Powder 1/4 tea spoon
  • Besan 4 tablespoons
  • Lime Juice 1 tablespoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Cooking Oil for frying


Instructions:

  • Wash and pat dry the Bhindi with a cloth. ( Drying with cloth helps to get rid of the small thorny things on the top of the Bhindi)
  • Cut the heads off the Lady Finger
  • Slit the Bhindi ( Lady Finger) legnth wise
  • Take a mixing bowl and put the Bhindi in it.
  • Add the Mango Powder
  • Add the Red Chilli Powder and the Salt
  • Add the Besan
  • Add the lime juice
  • Mix well.
  • Now heat oil in a deep frying pan and fry the Bhindi.
  • Take the fried Bhindi out on a dish lined with kitchen towels to get rid of the excess oil.
  • Sprinkle some Chaat Masala and serve with Roti or Naan.
