Crunchy Okra or Lady Finger
Ladies finger we do cook at least one a month and when we make it little Crunchy and spicy, I am the Big chef in the house that day.
Ingredients:
- Bhindi ( Lady Finger ) 250 grams
- Mango Powder 1/2 teaspoon
- Chaat Masala 1/2 tea spoon
- Red Chilli Powder 1/4 tea spoon
- Besan 4 tablespoons
- Lime Juice 1 tablespoon
- Salt to taste
- Cooking Oil for frying
Instructions:
- Wash and pat dry the Bhindi with a cloth. ( Drying with cloth helps to get rid of the small thorny things on the top of the Bhindi)
- Cut the heads off the Lady Finger
- Slit the Bhindi ( Lady Finger) legnth wise
- Take a mixing bowl and put the Bhindi in it.
- Add the Mango Powder
- Add the Red Chilli Powder and the Salt
- Add the Besan
- Add the lime juice
- Mix well.
- Now heat oil in a deep frying pan and fry the Bhindi.
- Take the fried Bhindi out on a dish lined with kitchen towels to get rid of the excess oil.
- Sprinkle some Chaat Masala and serve with Roti or Naan.
